Training Camp: Starting to Find a Niche

With Vincent Jackson and Legedu Naanee both sitting out practice Wednesday, Kassim Osgood and Malcom Floyd were given the most attention they have yet to receive during the start of training camp. Rookie FB Mike Tolbert shined demonstrating multiple uses on the field eyeing a larger role on the squad. Charlie Whitehurst displayed an accurate arm making ample connections with the receivers.

With Philip Rivers at the helm, receivers Buster Davis and Chris Chambers kicked off the first play as Vincent Jackson and Legedu Naanee sat out practice. Rivers delivered a hand-off to RB Darren Sproles but it was clear FB Mike Tolbert paved the way for Sproles to find the seam and break through the defense.
