The Chargers suffered a few key injuries in Week 1, but that does not quell the team's optimism heading into a Week 2 showdown against the Patriots. The defense will not hold a second straight opposing QB under 40 yards passing, but the offense is ready to shine in a shootout.

Injuries Open Doors The Chargers will have a different look after suffering two key injuries in the opener. Nate Kaeding tore his ACL and was placed on injured-reserve. Nick Novak enters as the replacement; on Sunday, he will kick in an NFL game for the first time since 2008.
