LB James Holt: Called Up onto the Active Roster

James Holt Profile

The San Diego Chargers promoted rookie LB James Holt from the practice squad to the active roster on Tuesday. Holt takes the place of WR Chris Chambers, who was released earlier in the week.

Holt will be expected to contribute on special teams and to provide depth at inside linebacker while Tim Dobbins (knee) and Kevin Burnett (ankle) recover from injuries.

The Chargers signed LB Jeremy Leman to take Holt's place on the practice squad.
