Biography:
Williams built on his outstanding rookie season with an even better sophomore campaign. He was a major force on the NFL’s top ranked defense, earning All-Pro honors from the Associated Press and The Sporting News. The starting free safety for the NFC squad in the Pro Bowl, Williams finished the year fourth on the team with 86 tackles and was second on the team with six tackles for losses. He was one of just 10 defensive backs in the NFL with two-or-more sacks (2.0) and interceptions (two) this season. A true competitor and unselfish team-player, Williams’ nine special teams tackles were the most by a Dallas starter.
