Scouting Report
Chargers Update had Pinnock tabbed as a 6th round draft pick.
He was benched during his senior season for fumbling problems otherwise he would have been ranked much higher. He never took his blocking seriously at South Carolina and that unwillingness also hurt his stock. It could be that his maturity is lacking.
Is a tackle breaker who has great size and surprising agility. He can carry a pile of defenders and gain those extra yards. Rarely is he tackled in the backfield and he shows good vision looking for the open hole. His balance allows him to shake defenders and keep his feet in traffic.
Pinnock squares his shoulders when moving forward and if he took his blocking as seriously as his running he would be punishing as a lead back. His versatility to play both spots in the backfield adds to his value.
College
Pinnock was a three year starter used at both fullback and halfback. Totaled 124 carries for 563 yards with 5 scores as a senior, catching 16 passes for 106 yards. Team's leading ground gainer as a junior with 115/622/12.
