The San Diego Chargers selected Eric Weddle in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft, after making a trade with the Chicago Bears to move up 25 spots to acquire Weddle.
2008
Weddle appeared in 16 games with 16 starts. He complied 127 tackles, one sack, five pass denfenses and one interception.
2007
Weddle saw action in 15 games and compiled 53 tackles, a sack and one interception.
Four-year starter awarded All-Conference honors since his freshman
campaign. Named Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the Year
the past two season. Senior totals were 64/7/2 after 78/4/12 as a
junior.
