Cesaire was signed by the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent on April 28th, 2003. He signed a five-year extension on February 10, 2006.
2007
Appeared in all 16 games plus three playoff appearances for the Chargers. He made six starts in the regular season and posted 36 tackles and 2.5 sacks.
2006
Started ten games and finished with career highs in tackles (36) and sacks (4). He played on both side of the line as Luis Castillo and Igor Olshansky both missed large chunks of time due to injury.
2005
Started five games and finished with 17 tackles and one sack. Cesaire saw some time at nose tackle as well and helped anchor the league's No. 1 run defense.
2004
Cesaire took over the starting position for an injured Adrian Dingle and 30 tackles with a half a sack on the season.
College
A four-year starter in the Southern Connecticut State University defensive line, and team captain as a senior was selected as a NCAA Division II first team All-America. Had 46 tackles, including seven sacks, a forced fumble and 17 tackles for losses of 66 yards. Over his four seasons as a starter, Cesaire had 206 total tackles with 21 quarterback sacks, four forced fumbles and 54 tackles for losses of 201 yards. |
