Biography:
Pro Career

2005: Brown played in 15 games with 14 starts and missed one contest (Jacksonville 1/1) with ankle injury. Brown led team in rushing for second consecutive season with 851 yards (3.8 avg.) on 224 carries and five touchdowns. Also became 12th player in franchise history to record 500 career rushing attempts. Set career highs with 25 receptions for 327 yards (13.1 avg.) with two touchdowns and posted first ever 100-yard receiving game against San Francisco (11/27).

2004: Emerged as one of NFL’s top young running backs in first season as starter. With 1,067 yards and six touchdowns on 220 carries, his 4.85-yard average was the best in NFL among runners with 200 or more carries. In second half of season, was slowed by turf toe injury on left big toe, which kept him out of a total of five games. In 11 starts, rushed for 100 or more yards six times. Became second running back in NFL history to rush for 100 or more yards in each of his first three NFL starts.

2003: Served as a Titans backup behind Eddie George and Robert Holcombe in rookie campaign. Missed all four preseason games and total of five regular season games due to left hamstring injury he suffered in first week of training camp. Totaled 56 carries for 221 yards during regular season as well as eight receptions for 61 yards. Scored touchdown both postseason games and totaled 96 yards on 18 playoff rushing attempts (5.3 average).

College Career

In just two seasons in Boulder, Brown rushed for 2,787 yards and 35 touchdowns on 493 carries, trailing only Eric Bieniemy (3,490 yards and 35 touchdowns, 1987-90) on Colorado’s all-time list for career rushing yards and touchdowns. Entered NFL draft after his junior season. As a junior, led Big 12 conference and ranked third in nation with 1,841 yards on 303 carries and 19 touchdowns. Rushed for more than 100 yards in nine contests. Broke school’s season record of 298 carries by Rashaan Salaam in 1994. Ranked second behind Salaam in rushing yards (2,055) and touchdowns in a season (24). Named All-American first-team and National Offensive Player of the Year selection by The NFL Draft Report and first-team by American Football Coaches Association. Selected second-team All-American by Associated Press, College Football News and The Sporting News. Unanimous All-Big 12 Conference first-team pick and Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year by conference coaches. Recorded 309 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries against Kansas to become third player in school history to rush for more than 300 yards in a game. As sophomore, named All-Big 12 Conference honorable mention by AP, leading team with 946 yards and 16 touchdowns on 190 carries. Set school record with 36 points against Nebraska (24 carries for 198 yards and six touchdowns) against Nebraska. As freshman, named NJC All America honorable mention and All-Jayhawk Conference first-team at Fort Scott (Kan.) Junior College where he ranked fifth in nation with 1,284 yards and 13 touchdowns on 185 carries. Redshirted in 1999 at Northwestern University. Majored in economics.

Personal Bio

Single, splits time between Nashville and Chicago (IL). Named Prep Football Report and Super Prep All-American, first-team All-State, and Daily Herald first-team All-Area as senior at Naperville North (Ill.) High School, rushing for 1,250 yards and 15 touchdowns. Named Player of the Year by The Naperville Sun. Rushed for 2,300 yards and 30 touchdowns in hi
