| Biography: |
He signed a six-year contract that could be worth $7.565 million if he hits various escalators and incentives. The final year is voidable. He's guaranteed $2.335 million, with $2.25 million arriving in a signing bonus.
In the second round, with the 35th overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft, the San Diego Chargers selected Igor Olshansky out of Oregon.
Olshansky, 6-6, 305 pounds, is known for his incredible strength. He pushed up 41 reps on the 225 pound bench press, second at the combines. He ripped off 43 just weeks later at his Pro Day.
He has a blue collar work ethic and the only concern was a back issue that hampered him this year but he reports no problems.
Olshansky ended his junior year with 58 tackles, 15 behind the line and 6.5 sacks. He has played both tackle and end.
