Tim Dwight joined the Chargers in a pre-draft trade in 2001 that sent Michael Vick to Atlanta for the #5 overall pick, LaDainian Tomlinson, second round pick which turned out to be Reche Caldwell.
He signed a five year deal worth $15 million shortly thereafter and has restructured that deal for the 2004 season.

Dwight suffered a collapsed lung in 2003 which ended his season.
