Scout.com's Ed Thompson reports the Chargers agreed to terms with undrafted free agent DL Keith Shologan. The 6'2", 290-pound lineman from Central Florida took advantage of the fact that the Chargers failed to draft a D-lineman for the second consecutive year.

Central Florida defensive tackle Keith Shologan started every game over the last two seasons for the Golden Knights. He is an established run-stopper with the size to clog running lanes in Ted Cottrell's 3-4 defense.

Shologan played high school football in Canada and was highly recruited by several CFL teams. However, he remained adamant about pursuing a future in the NFL and decided that future should start in San Diego.

The Chargers have a reputation for grooming undrafted defensive linemen into productive players. Jacques Cesaire and Brandon McKinney were both undrafted free agents, while Ryon Bingham was selected towards the end of the seventh round. All three have gone on to have productive careers with the Chargers.

Shologan hopes that with hard work and some tutelage from Wayne Nunnely, the Chargers' longest tenured assistant coach, that he can develop his skills enough to stick in the NFL.
