As LaDainian Tomlinson closes in on 10,000 career rushing yards, there is no doubt he is worthy of…

SERIES: 3rd meeting. Series tied, 1-1. This is the Chargers' second trip to Jacksonville after losing there 27-21 in 2003. The Jaguars fell in San Diego, 34-21, in 2004.
PREDICTION: Jaguars 23-20
KEYS TO THE GAME:
The Chargers have been shut out in the second half of their past two games, and need QB Philip Rivers to start playing with more confidence and consistency. Part of the problem is the line isn't protecting as well as it did last season, and RB LaDainian Tomlinson isn't getting the consistent touches he should throughout the game.
QB David Garrard returns after missing three games, but the Jaguars' game plan won't change all that much. The Chargers are thin at defensive end and NT Jamal Williams is still trying to regain his form following surgery on both knees two games ago. RBs Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew will lead the way with the league's No. 3 running attack averaging 142.0 yards per game.
FAST FACTS: For the second straight year, the Chargers have defeated both teams that played in the last Super Bowl. ... The Jaguars are 2-0 against the AFC West this season.
