Chargers place Kiel on injured reserve

The Chargers have placed strong safety Terrence Kiel on injured reserve with an ankle injury for the final week of the season. He'll be replaced on the active roster by cornerback Markus Curry.

Markus Curry spent the first 15 weeks of the season on the Chargers' practice squad.

Curry, a 5-11, 181-pound rookie from Michigan, will wear #36 against the Broncos on Saturday.

Terrence Kiel finishes the season ranked fourth on the team with 59 total tackles. He also had one sack, a forced fumble and six passes defensed. Recommended Stories
