As first introduced by the agent for Carlos Joseph earlier today, the San Diego Chargers have signed the offensive tackle out of Miami. Joseph was one of three seventh round picks and is the sixth pick to come under wraps.

Carlos Joseph was signed by the Chargers on Monday to a three year deal. The 254th selection in the 2004 NFL Draft was close to signing a deal earlier today and it came to fruition a few short hours later.

Joseph has experience at both the left and right tackle positions, shifting to the right side as a senior at Miami.

Joseph, 6-foot-6, 340 pounds, is a massive specimen who the Chargers hope can be molded. He has had some trouble getting out of his stance on the snap and offensive line coach Hudson Houck will look to work his magic on the raw tackle. With his size he could be a powerful force in the running game.
