Chargers free agency updates

While the combines are wrapping up, free agency is right around the corner. The San Diego Chargers will now have a week to get their own house in order before venturing out and seeing who else can help their team. Some players will be back, while others will be unceremoniously dumped. This offseasons purge does not figure to be of the magnitude of '03 when Rodney Harrison was sent packing and Junior Seau followed shortly thereafter. Here is the inside scoop on a few players:

Doug Flutie, originally rumored to be headed back to Canada to play football with his brother, has been asked to restructure. His agent, Kristen Kuliga, confirmed that, "the Chargers expressed an interest in bringing Doug back. And he is open to that." Kuliga stated she would be talking with Doug by tomorrow to discuss his future in San Diego further. Flutie is slated to make $5....
