San Diego Chargers right tackle Vaughn Parker suffered a tear of the anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments in his left knee in last Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens and will miss the remainder of the 2003 season.

The extent of the injury was determined and repaired today in an arthroscopic procedure performed by team physician, Dr. David Chao, at the OASIS Sports Medical Group. The recovery period is 4-6 months.

Parker is expected to be placed on "Reserve-Injured" and his replacement named later in the week.
