With the loss of Stephen Alexander to another groin injury and the uncertain status of Josh Norman's hamstring, Dwayne Blakley was signed to the San Diego Chargers practice squad. "He has great hands and is quick off the line of scrimmage," Missouri tight ends Coach Bruce Walker said.

Dwayne Blakley spent the 2002 season on the Chiefs practice squad and played in NFL Europe this offseason. He caught 13 balls for 116 yards in his stint in Europe.
