Thing One is QB Drew Brees.

The key to power football will be in creating room for RB LaDainian Tomlinson to run.

If Brees can get the ball deep to WR David Boston, then opponents can't stack extra defenders in the box. Stretching the defensive secondary with speedy wideouts Boston, Eric Parker, Tim Dwight, and Reche Caldwell will be a priority for offensive coordinator Cam Cameron.

The real question is "Can Drew consistently get the ball deep enough?”

Thing Two is DE Marcellus Wiley.

Wiley is the team's premiere pass rusher, and he must rebound from a disappointing injury plagued season to return to his previous Pro Bowl form.

The plan is to buy enough time for young CBs Quentin Jammer, Sammy Davis, and Drayton Florence to have any chance at covering veteran NFL WRs early in the season.
