Dew Brees leads Antonio Gates during one on one drills. Gates fights off the blanket that is Donnie Edwards to make the catch. (Will Mortensen/Chargers Update) Antonio Gates trots back to the huddle as Jesse Chatman catches a pass on LeMarcus McDonald in the background. Gates was dominating linebackers on the day with his sheer size and solid positioning. (Will Mortensen/Chargers Update)
Drew Brees calls the Cam Cameron play in the huddle during 9 on 9 drills. Phil Bogle was the only quasi-surprise that lined up with the first team offensive line. (Will Mortensen/Chargers Update) Drew Brees throws a perfect pass to Terry Charles running a crossing route. Jerry Wilson could not catch up to the pass as it sails over his outstretched arms. Tay Cody would break from his coverage on LaDainian Tomlinson to meet Charles as he caught the ball. (Will Mortensen/Chargers Update)
Doug Flutie tosses the ball to Antoineo Harris during a running play. Running behind the second team O-line, Harris would gain five yards running behind Phil Bogle, who saw time on all the units. Jude Waddy eventually was able to shed his block to make the play. (Will Mortensen/Chargers Update) Drew Brees hand the ball off to Jesse Chatman with fullback Lorenzo Neal paving the way for the second year back. Antonio Gates sealed the outside blocking Jordan Kramer while Solomon Page seals the other side. Doug Sims gets penetration on the play, but is too far outside to make the tackle.
