Series: Sunday’s contest marks the 11th contest between the Chiefs and Bucs, dating back to 1976. The teams have split the first 10 meetings. Kansas City won four consecutive matchups from 1981-93 while Tampa Bay has won the last three contests, dating back to 1999.
The Chiefs have not defeated the Bucs since 1993, which is the longest current period without a victory of any opponent Kansas City has faced. The Chiefs haven’t won in Tampa Bay since Joe Montana and Marcus Allen shared a backfield in 1993.
